We rented this home for a long weekend to get away and catch up with some old friends. The house was very accommodating and very kid friendly. We spent the majority of our time on the large deck or down by the water on their dock. We enjoyed and will definitely be back!!
I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home with some very close friends and their families. The property is tucked away back in a quiet cove that put you in a nature heaven. We got to see some pretty amazing wildlife during our stay. The amenities provided were more than accommodating and plenty of space for all of the guests. The house has many great pictures taken from places all over the world and we enjoyed using them as talking points to the children. Whether it was riding bikes, sitting around the camp fire, cooking meals, relaxing in the hot tub or swimming down at the lake dock... all of the experiences at Deep Creek Lake Retreat LLC were memories that will last a life time.
Several students in my department recently spent a long weekend at the house to ski, and it was a wonderful experience. The house was very nice, with plenty of space and bathrooms for my friends (unlike other winter homes we have stayed in). The snow around the lake and mountain were beautiful! And when we weren't skiing, the house had plenty of games and room for activities. The owners were also very accommodating and friendly. Thank you very much and we will certainly be planning on returning next year!
This house was ideal for our group ski trip -- plenty of space, beautiful views, great hot tub, and TWO driers for wet ski clothes. Everything was perfect, thanks so much!
We had the chance to stay at Deep Creek Retreat for a 3-day weekend. The house and surrounding landscape were beautiful, from the porch you could see the sunrise over the mountains and lake. We were there in the winter and were able to take advantage of skiing at the nearby Wisp Resort. After skiing, relaxing in the hot tub and playing in the downstairs game room were perfect ways to rest up. The Nyes were fantastic hosts and we all appreciated their efforts to make sure we had a great stay.

Stayed here for a weekend during the winter. The home is great and it comfortably accommodated our group of 11. The hot tub and game room were perfect for a relaxing evening after a day of skiing at the nearby Wisp Resort. This home made for perfect winter retreat. The hosts are top notch and wonderful people. I would highly recommend this home for any season.
My coworkers and I rented Deep Creek Retreat for a long weekend to go skiing at Wisp Resort. The owners were very accommodating and friendly, and the house was beautiful. There was plenty of space, as well as activities such as a hot tub, pool table, and foosball table for us to use. Everything was clean and ready to go when we arrived. The area itself was beautiful, with the lake and snow-covered mountain. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation getaway, and I definitely plan on using it again in the future.
We recently enjoyed 10 days at Deep Creek Retreat. The accommodations were perfect for our Family. There are 2 floors of living area allowing our children and grandchildren to stay with us and my wife's family to have their own accommodations and yet we were together. There was a variety of things to do regardless of weather conditions. During the day, there was swimming, kayaking, swinging on a tire swing and various yard games. When it rained, there was a game room to retreat too. In the evening, we had bonfires and a hot tub. This was one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had, even with young grandchildren. We highly recommend Deep Creek Retreat for your next lake vacation.
Hosts are top notch people. House is really clean and homy. Layout of the house is great, as well.

Mickey asked for a list of things that needed done to make home better when we left. He appreciated list and did all the improvements. We left a pair of boots there and he airmailed them back to us. I cant say enough about how much the owners want to make sure we have a great time in their place. Kudos on top service!
The Deep Creek House is the perfect home away from home. It feels like a real home instead of the cookie cutter reality rental places. The house is warm and inviting. We especially love all the pictures from Mickey’s travels.
The house is well stocked and all the amenities made our trip enjoyable. We especially liked the kayaks to explore wildlife in the cove and creek.
The only drawback is the steep climb back up to the house from the dock. There are many steps. By the end of the week I felt like I was in better shape than when I arrived, which is a good thing!
Mickey provided exceptional service and was very accommodating to our needs. You can’t go wrong with DCR!
